At St Francis of Assisi we have four Year 3/4 classes in an open and flexible learning space. Year 3/4 marks a transition in our learning philosophy and sees students engaging in a more collaborative and shared style of learning focussing on individuality and social/emotional development.

Students have a bank of Apple laptops and iPads to engage in the digital environment, enhance their technological skills, use technology to enhance learning experiences and learn how to be responsible digital citizens.

Children engage in a range of subjects with a clear focus on Numeracy, Literacy and Science.
From Year 3/4 students participate in the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program whereby students engage in food education in order to form positive and healthy food habits. This programs utilises our vegetable patch, orchid and chicken coup alongside a cooking program. Children grow and harvest their own produce and cook it to make healthy, delicious meals to share with their class.
